COMMENDING Jennifer Mitchell upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the 2017
Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women
and Women in Business
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Mitchell has given not only of her time and
energies but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Jennifer
Mitchell upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the 2017 Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women and Women
in Business; and
WHEREAS, A 1992 graduate of Liberty High School, Jennifer Mitchell
attended SUNY Sullivan and then SUNY Plattsburgh; she is a member of New
York State Association of Municipal Purchasing Officials and graduated
from the New York State Association of School Business Officials
Leadership program in June of 2017; and
WHEREAS, For the past eight years, Jennifer Mitchell has held the
title of Principal Account Clerk for the Sullivan County BOCES; in this
capacity, she serves as a purchasing agent, assets manager, contact for
instructional administration for various budget issues, liaison with
facilities director, facilitates the billing of services purchased
through her BOCES and other BOCES in the State of New York, and works
directly with the treasurer to complete the fiscal cycle; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Mitchell truly enjoys her job; she loves to learn
something new each day, appreciates her relationships with her
co-workers, and likes to work with numbers; when she is not working, she
cares for all of her beloved animals on her hobby farm; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband of 21 years,
Mark, and their three children, Lane, Maggie, and Dylan, all of whom
have shown her love and support and rejoice in her many achievements;
and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Jennifer Mitchell has
displayed throughout her life; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Jennifer Mitchell upon the occasion of her designation for
special recognition by the 2017 Sullivan County Democrat honoring
Professional Women and Women in Business; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jennifer Mitchell.
