HONORING Isneida Rosas upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the 2018 Scholarship
Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Isneida Rosas upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
2018 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter
of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, This momentous occasion will be celebrated at the 20th
Annual Tuition Assistance Awards Gala, "Celebrating A Twenty Year Legacy
of Mentoring Excellence" on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Anthony's
Pier 9, New Windsor, New York; and

WHEREAS, At the young age of two, Isneida Rosas and her parents
immigrated to the United States; an exceptional student at Newburgh Free
Academy, Isneida Rosas is ranked 35th out of 723 students with a 96.008
GPA; and

WHEREAS, Isneida Rosas is a member of the National Honor Society,
the Italian Honor Society, and the New York Science Honor Society; and

WHEREAS, After graduation, Isneida Rosas plans on taking some time
off to save money for her tuition at the Fashion Institute of Technology
where she would like to major in fashion merchandising; she would be the
first person in her family to graduate from high school and attend
college; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her high school career, Isneida Rosas has
displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and

WHEREAS, Isneida Rosas, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of
excellence she brings to her family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Isneida Rosas upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the 2018 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., and to extend best wishes for a future
of purposeful success and well-being; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Isneida Rosas.
