HONORING Alexander Wolf upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2017 Scholarship
Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor the young
adults of today and leaders of tomorrow whose character and achievements
best exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
Nation; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Alexander Wolf upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
2017 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris Chapter
of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, This momentous occasion will be celebrated at the 19th
Annual Tuition Assistance Awards Gala on Saturday, February 4, 2017, at
Anthony's Pier 9, New Windsor, New York; and

WHEREAS, A high-scoring senior at Valley Central High School,
Alexander Wolf plans to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to
become an airline or corporate pilot; and

WHEREAS, Alexander Wolf has been a member of the Trowell-Harris
Chapter Red Tail Flying Program for three years; he has soloed a Cessna
Skyhawk as a flight student on the way to his private pilot license; and

WHEREAS, With a strong knowledge of the internet and with a
steadfast dedication for helping others, Alexander Wolf rebuilt the
Trowell-Harris Chapter's web pages and gives of his time and energies
tutoring younger Red Tail members; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his high school career, Alexander Wolf has
displayed exceptional academic achievement, a strong sense of community
responsibility, and a commitment to excellence which is unparalleled;
and

WHEREAS, Alexander Wolf, in achieving this academic honor, may take
just pride in the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of
excellence he brings to his family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Alexander Wolf upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the 2017 Scholarship Award by the Major General Irene Trowell-Harris
Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., and to extend best wishes for a future
of purposeful success and well-being; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Alexander Wolf.
