COMMENDING Jean Rosenheck posthumously upon the
occasion of her induction into the Monticello High
School Hall of Distinction Class of 2017

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to take note of
and publicly acknowledge individuals who distinguished themselves
through their exemplary careers, accomplishments, and purposeful lives
of service to their community; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Jean Rosenheck posthumously upon the occasion of her induction
into the Monticello High School Hall of Distinction Class of 2017; this
momentous occasion was celebrated on Friday, November 3, 2017, at the
Arnold Packer Hughs Auditorium in Monticello High School; and

WHEREAS, A member of the Monticello High School Class of 1946, Jean
Rosenheck was an energetic and hard-working woman who truly served as a
role model for the youth of Monticello, New York; in addition to serving
as a valuable asset of her community, she also owned and operated a
successful advertising business; and

WHEREAS, Jean Rosenheck was a tireless advocate for the Monticello
Central School community, serving as the President of the Board of
Education; and

WHEREAS, A devoted congregant of Temple Sholom, Jean Rosenheck was a
vital member of its Board of Directors; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Jean Rosenheck stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, For her steadfast and unremitting commitment to her
community, Jean Rosenheck was the recipient of numerous awards and
accolades; she was proudly listed as a Who's Who of American Women; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Jean Rosenheck has displayed
throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhanced the well-being and vitality of their community and showed a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Jean Rosenheck posthumously upon the occasion of her induction
into the Monticello High School Hall of Distinction Class of 2017; and
be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Jean Rosenheck.
