COMMEMORATING the 75th Anniversary of Quinnz Pinz
in Middletown, New York on October 26, 2016

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
small businesses within the State of New York which contribute to the
economic health and vitality of the communities they serve; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Quinnz Pinz in Middletown, New York
celebrated on Wednesday, October 26, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Over the course of 75 years, Quinnz Pinz of Middletown, New
York, has been an integral piece of the town's history; and

WHEREAS, A family-run business, Quinnz Pinz started as Middletown
Recreation Centre, when Bob Quinn, Sr. purchased the business in 1972;
he passed it down to his son Bob Quinn, Jr. and his wife Jaime; and

WHEREAS, Bob and Jaime Quinn took over the business and have spent
several years renovating the building; they have added screens over the
lanes to show live sports and music videos, included a four-lane V.I.P.
section for parties and have also introduced cosmic bowling, with
darkened lanes and flashing lights; they have transformed the
traditional bowling center into an entertainment experience; and

WHEREAS, In October of 2016, Bob and Jaime Quinn upgraded the
building's exterior walls to mimic the original construction, to
celebrate their 75th Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Quinnz Pinz in
Middletown, New York celebrated on October 26, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Small businesses such as Quinnz Pinz exert a strong,
positive influence on the communities they serve and are a crucial
element in the economy of New York State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Quinnz Pinz in Middletown, New York
celebrated on October 26, 2016; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Bob and Jaime Quinn, owners of Quinnz Pinz.
