COMMENDING Violet Schober upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition after 50 years
of dedicated service to the Ladies Auxiliary of the
Kenilworth Fire Company

WHEREAS, The quality and character of life in this Nation, and the
great State of New York, is reflective of the purposeful lives and good
works of those patriotic and civic-minded community members who dedicate
their lives and careers to the service of others; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Violet
Schober upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
after 50 years of dedicated service to the Ladies Auxiliary of the
Kenilworth Fire Company, celebrated at its Installation Banquet on
Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Pearl Street Grill and Brewery, Buffalo,
New York; and

WHEREAS, Members of ladies auxiliary groups from across the State of
New York work tirelessly to provide support to our fire departments and
to aid our volunteer firefighters in many capacities; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to the
Department, Violet Schober, affectionately known as Vi, has been a
member of the Kenilworth Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for five decades;
and

WHEREAS, The members of this worthy organization provide nourishment
to firefighters during emergency incidents, and are always ready to
support and fulfill the needs of the fire department; Vi Schober is one
such individual; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Vi Schober, that future generations may know and appreciate her
admirable character, her many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which she is held by her peers; and

WHEREAS, Vi Schober is deserving of the highest commendation of this
Legislative Body for her commitment to the Kenilworth Fire Company, as
she has helped to advance the perception of the Town of Tonawanda as a
caring and united community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Violet Schober upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition after 50 years of dedicated service to the Ladies Auxiliary
of the Kenilworth Fire Company; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Violet Schober.
