COMMEMORATING the 60th Anniversary of Cassetta
Agency Inc. of Buffalo, New York

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the entire
Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Cassetta Agency Inc. of Buffalo, New
York, to be celebrated at an open house on Friday, February 9, 2018; and

WHEREAS, For five decades, Cassetta Agency Inc. has been a fixture
in Buffalo; Joseph Cassetta Sr. established the business in the basement
of his home on Thurston Avenue in 1958; under his able guidance, the
Agency was part of several large building and construction projects in
the city, such as the improvements to Memorial Auditorium and Kleinhans
Music Hall; and

WHEREAS, As the business grew and flourished, it moved to several
bigger sites; today, Cassetta Agency Inc. is located at 3000 Delaware
Avenue, where it continues to serve its many loyal customers under the
luminous leadership of Joseph's daughter, Kathy Cassetta, who has held
every position within the company, learning from the best; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception, Cassetta Agency Inc. has provided both
individuals and businesses in Buffalo, and Western New York with a wide
range of insurance coverage, including auto, homeowners and business
insurance; and

WHEREAS, The success of Cassetta Agency Inc. is in direct
correlation to the efforts of President and Owner Kathy Cassetta and her
10 staff members, whose involvement is, and always has been,
characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and
an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of
the institution and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Cassetta Agency Inc. of Buffalo, New
York; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kathy Cassetta, President/Owner, Cassetta Agency Inc.
