HONORING Rob Perpall upon the occasion of his
retirement after 21 years of distinguished service
as Head Coach at Seaford High School

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed
residents of this noble Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Rob Perpall upon the occasion of his retirement after 21 years of
distinguished service as Head Coach at Seaford High School; and

WHEREAS, A 1965 graduate of Island Trees High School, Rob Perpall
received a scholarship to play football at C.W. Post; in 1969, he
started coaching and has spent his entire adult life teaching sound
football fundamentals, motivating young players to achieve greatness;
and

WHEREAS, Throughout his esteemed career, Rob Perpall has
successfully guided not only football players but also softball,
basketball, and lacrosse players; during his time as coach at Seaford
High School, he has led his teams in eight county championships and two
Long Island championships; and

WHEREAS, Throughout Rob Perpall's career, he has been named Football
Coach of the Year, Long Island Coach of the Year, Softball Coach of the
Year, Nassau County Coach of the Year Coaches Association, Newsday
Nassau County Coach of the Year, Nassau County Sports Commission Coach
of the Year, and Boomer Esiason Sportsmen of the Year New York State;
and

WHEREAS, For the past 21 years, Rob Perpall rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to Seaford High School sports,
earning the admiration, esteem and affection of his colleagues; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Rob Perpall upon the occasion of his retirement after 21 years of
distinguished service as Head Coach at Seaford High School ; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Rob Perpall.
