CONGRATULATING Natalie E. Robles upon the occasion
of winning the 2018 Newburgh Volunteer Fair Poster
Contest
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Natalie E. Robles upon the occasion of winning the 2018
Newburgh Volunteer Fair Poster Contest; and
WHEREAS, Coordinated by Washington's Headquarters, Safe Harbors of
the Hudson, and the Newburgh Free Library, the Annual Newburgh Volunteer
Fair offers not-for-profit organizations in the greater Newburgh area an
opportunity to raise awareness of the great and important service they
offer to the local community; these vital organizations rely upon
volunteers to assist in their endeavors; and
WHEREAS, A member of Newburgh Girl Power, Natalie E. Robles' winning
poster truly defines volunteerism which is an essential element of all
societies; it provides a way in which the human values of community,
caring and serving can be sustained and strengthened; and
WHEREAS, Volunteerism promotes family and community solidarity; most
importantly, people who volunteer their time in civic and charitable
endeavors inspire others to the call of volunteerism; and
WHEREAS, Service to community and country is the foundation of our
society, and the contributions and future efforts of those in service to
them are a vital part of, and valuable asset to, the fabric of our
communities; and
WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Natalie E. Robles represents the best development of the potential which
is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Natalie E. Robles upon the occasion of winning the 2018
Newburgh Volunteer Fair Poster Contest; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Natalie E. Robles.
