COMMEMORATING the 12th Anniversary of the Full
Gospel Assembly of Queens of Richmond Hill, New
York, from February 3-4, 2018

WHEREAS, Religious institutions, and the many spiritual, social and
educational benefits they confer, play a vital role in the development
of the moral fabric of a responsible citizenry; and

WHEREAS, It is the tradition of this State and this Nation to pay
tribute to those institutions and individuals who have contributed to
the ethical and spiritual values of their communities; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body takes pleasure in commemorating the
12th Anniversary of the Full Gospel Assembly of Queens of Richmond Hill,
New York, feted at its Weekend Celebration from February 3-4, 2018; and

WHEREAS, On February 5, 2006, the Full Gospel Assembly of Queens was
founded by Senior Pastor Reverend Michael Bacchus who is also the
Founder and Senior Pastor of its sister church, Full Gospel Assembly of
Brooklyn; and

WHEREAS, Full Gospel Assembly of Queens is a multi-ethnic
congregation serving the diverse community of Richmond Hill, and Greater
Queens; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the last decade, the leaders and congregation of
the Full Gospel Assembly of Queens have instituted several community
programs and services, including a food pantry, educational supplies and
clothing distribution, Scholarship Program, social services and various
referral systems; and

WHEREAS, Under the luminous leadership of Pastors, Reverends Jonnel
and Aisha Doris, the Full Gospel Assembly of Queens stands on the
threshold of tomorrow, prepared to meet the challenges of the coming
decades while retaining that spiritual resolve which characterizes its
past; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to take note of
enduring religious institutions and to bring such institutions to the
attention of the people of this Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 12th Anniversary of the Full Gospel Assembly of Queens
of Richmond Hill, New York, from February 3-4, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Reverends Jonnel and Aisha Doris, Pastors, Full Gospel
Assembly of Queens.
