CONGRATULATING Susan Rehm upon the occasion of her
retirement after many years of distinguished service
to the Tri-Valley Central School District
WHEREAS, New York State's commitment to education is unparalleled;
its history and stature are secured by the superlative caliber of its
educational professionals and the students they inspire; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge the
significant milestones in the distinguished careers of those outstanding
educational leaders, whose dedication and achievements have been
instrumental in developing character and academic excellence in the
young people of New York State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Susan Rehm upon the occasion of her retirement after many
years of distinguished service to the Tri-Valley Central School
District; and
WHEREAS, Susan Rehm began her illustrious career in education at
Tri-Valley Central School District as an English teacher in 1984; after
serving in that capacity for nine years, she took time off to raise her
two daughters, Livvy and Katie; and
WHEREAS, Susan Rehm returned to the classroom at Monticello Central
School before once again serving as an English teacher at Tri-Valley
from 2005 until her retirement in December of 2017; and
WHEREAS, An extraordinary teacher and mentor, Susan Rehm also served
as the advisor for the school newspaper and as the 7th and 8th Grade
Team Leader; and
WHEREAS, As a knowledgeable and highly skilled teacher, Susan Rehm
has improved the quality of education at Tri-Valley Central School
District by leading and supporting staff with enthusiasm, cultivating a
positive and stimulating school environment for her students, and
creating a greater sense of community; and
WHEREAS, Educators like Susan Rehm provide a tremendous service to
the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of young
people in their educational journeys and ensuring their success in their
future years; and
WHEREAS, Susan Rehm has clearly had an enduring impact on the youth
of the Tri-Valley Central School District, as well as on the
community-at-large, and accordingly merits recognition and applause for
her impressive dedication to others; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Susan Rehm brought an uncompromising
standard of excellence to her work and a warm sense of caring and
concern to every young person she educated; and
WHEREAS, The future success of our State and Nation is dependent
upon individuals such as Susan Rehm, who have dedicated their lives as
educators, nurturing our most precious resource, our youth; and
WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who have worked to support our proud
tradition of public education by providing their skills and talents to
our schools; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Susan Rehm upon the occasion of her retirement after many
years of distinguished service to the Tri-Valley Central School
District; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Susan Rehm.
