COMMENDING Victoria Eddings upon the occasion of
her designation for special recognition by the 2016
Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women
and Women in Business

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Victoria Eddings has given not only of her time and
energies but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently has been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Victoria
Eddings upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the 2016 Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women and Women
in Business; and

WHEREAS, Victoria Eddings earned her bachelor's degree in Zoology
from Miami University of Ohio; and

WHEREAS, For over 9 years, Victoria Eddings has served as the
Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Frost Valley YMCA in
Claryville, New York; in this capacity, she oversees new projects,
program innovation, implementation of program related grants, training
plans for the staff, partnerships and guest relationship management; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her role of Director, Victoria Eddings
supervises the Equestrian Program Director and the Community Program
Director; she also oversees various program areas at Frost Valley, such
as the teaching kitchen, garden and greenhouse and specialty programs
such as woodshop, pottery and screen printing; and

WHEREAS, Devoted to her community, Victoria Eddings is a volunteer
at the Grahamsville Library, where she helps during the Giant Pumpkin
Party, and New Hope, where she aids in the horseback riding program; and

WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her husband, Bob Eddings and
her three children, Jack, Juliette and Kellan, all of whom feel
privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Victoria Eddings has
displayed throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Victoria Eddings upon the occasion of her designation for

special recognition by the 2016 Sullivan County Democrat honoring
Professional Women and Women in Business; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Victoria Eddings.
