COMMENDING Marea Roseo upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the 2016
Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women
and Women in Business

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Marea Roseo has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Marea
Roseo upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the 2016 Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional Women and Women
in Business; and

WHEREAS, After graduating from Delaware Valley High School, Marea
Roseo earned her bachelor's degree in Health Sciences from SUNY
Cortland; and

WHEREAS, Marea Roseo, along with her husband, has owned the Rockland
House in Roscoe, New York for over 21 years; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her role of co-owner, Marea Roseo takes care
of the bookwork and ordering and assists with the maintenance for the
bar, restaurant and motel; and

WHEREAS, Devoted to her community, Marea Roseo is a member of the
Roscoe Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, With her throughout have been her husband, Tom Roseo, her
two daughters, Paige and Taylor, and her grandson Luke, all of whom feel
privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Marea Roseo has displayed
throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Marea Roseo upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the 2016 Sullivan County Democrat honoring Professional
Women and Women in Business; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Marea Roseo.
