COMMENDING Yiling Li upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the National
Action Network, West Nassau Chapter on March 17,
2018

WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Yiling Li
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
National Action Network, West Nassau Chapter to be celebrated at its 5th
Annual Prestigious Women's Gala Awards on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at
Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York; and

WHEREAS, This year's theme is "Destined for Greatness"; Yiling Li
truly exemplifies this theme for her demonstrated exemplary work,
services, and commitment to the people of her community; and

WHEREAS, After graduating from the Central Academy of Drama in
China, Yiling Li immigrated to the United States in 1998; since then,
she has diligently worked to promote Asian cultures and arts to the
western world, conversely exposing American and European arts and
culture to Asia; and

WHEREAS, Dedicated to supporting arts and cultural exchanges,
education cooperation, business exchanges and cooperation, Yiling Li has
hosted numerous cultural activities in the United Nations to endorse
Chinese art and culture; and

WHEREAS, In addition, Yiling Li has conducted countless business
activities and promotions in Manhattan to introduce Chinese enterprise
to the American market; and

WHEREAS, Yiling Li holds various leadership positions in numerous
groups and associations including: UNDWC, United Nations Women's Guild,
the Hope Project, Yiling Museum of Dali, and the Chinese New Year
Performances; and

WHEREAS, This remarkable woman edits the Overseas Choice Voice
Monthly; serves as Director of Asian Affairs Office of Assemblyman
Gordon Johnson of New Jersey, and Assistant of Professor Li Guodong,
World Renowned Calligraphy Master; holds the title of Principal of the
Yiling Li Art School of New York; is a member of the Chinese Writers
Association of New York and the Photographers Association of New York;
and is an agent for Investment Immigration EB5/Alien of Extraordinary
Ability EB-1/Study in America, of the William Law Firm of New York; and

WHEREAS, For her steadfast and remitting commitment to her heritage
and community, Yiling Li was the recipient of the Outstanding

Achievement Award by the wife of Ban Ki moon, the United Nations
Secretary General, and the Chairman of UNDWC; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Yiling Li upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the National Action Network, West Nassau Chapter on March
17, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Yiling Li.
