Senate Resolution No. 4269

COMMENDING Lisa McAdoo upon the occasion of her
induction into the Clarion University Sports Hall of
Fame

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
outstanding athletes and coaches who have distinguished themselves
through their exceptional performance, attaining unprecedented success
and the highest level of personal achievement; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Lisa McAdoo upon the occasion of her induction into the Clarion
University Sports Hall of Fame, to be celebrated at a Ceremony in the
Gemmell Center Multi-Purpose Room at Payne Street and Wilson Avenue in
Clarion, Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, After an exceptional high school basketball career at
Fallsburg High School, Lisa McAdoo attended Clarion University where she
was instrumental in turning the women's basketball team into champions;
and

WHEREAS, As a Golden Eagle, Lisa McAdoo posted 1,010 career points
and 629 rebounds, both records at the time of her graduation; she was
also credited with 177 career steals; and

WHEREAS, For over 25 years, Lisa McAdoo was employed with the
Federal Bureau of Prisons, a position from which she officially retired
in February of 2016; currently, she serves as the Character Education
Coordinator in the Fallsburg Central School District, and is both the
founder and operator of More Than Music DJ Institute, LLC in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, Lisa McAdoo truly loves and cares about each and every one
of her students, especially the members of the girls and boys basketball
teams and the cheerleaders; she enjoys mentoring and sharing her skills
with the athletes, and is always available to lend an ear or a helping
hand; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such outstanding athletic accomplishments are brought to
our attention, they should be recognized by all members of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Lisa McAdoo upon the occasion of her induction into the Clarion
University Sports Hall of Fame; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Lisa McAdoo.
