HONORING Beverly Yochmann upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition after 50 years
of dedicated service to Sprague & Killeen, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Beverly Yochmann upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition after 50 years of dedicated service to Sprague & Killeen,
Inc.; this momentous occasion was celebrated with a Surprise Luncheon on
January 30, 2017, at Stella's Restaurant, Kingston, New York; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Yochmann has been working for Sprague & Killeen,
Inc., a leading insurance provider in the Hudson Valley, since January
of 1968; and

WHEREAS, Known in the office for her bright spirit, calm
personality, vast experience and professionalism, Beverly Yochmann leads
by strong example of a diligent worker with confidence and charm; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Yochmann began her illustrious career at the Allen
D. Potter agency in 1951; after leaving, she was soon asked to return
to the agency, which would later merge and become the Carlsen Agency;
and

WHEREAS, During this time, Beverly Yochmann attended the Hartford
School of Insurance, where she realized her passion for the industry;
and

WHEREAS, In 1968, Jack Killeen and Donald Spraque purchased the
Carlsen Agency and invited Beverly to become a part of their team; her
insurance knowledge and fine work ethic quickly made her indispensable
to the firm; and

WHEREAS, After much hard work, in 1988, Beverly Yochmann was honored
with becoming a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), one of the most
unforgettable moments of her career; and

WHEREAS, Beverly Yochmann took on the role of office manager from
1972 until 1994, when she partially retired and began assisting with the
financial aspects of the office, a position she continues to hold today;
and

WHEREAS, In this capacity, Beverly Yochmann serves with loyalty,
honor and distinction, earning the admiration, esteem and affection of
her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the occurrence of such a compassionate
blending of strength, leadership, intellect, and commitment as that
demonstrated by Beverly Yochmann over a lifetime of sacrifice and
dedication to others; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Beverly Yochmann upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition after 50 years of dedicated service to Sprague & Killeen,
Inc.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Beverly Yochmann.
