Senate Resolution No. 4354

HONORING Rachel Navifar upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the Council
of Jewish Organizations Flatbush on March 18, 2018

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Navifar has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Rachel
Navifar upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by
the Council of Jewish Organizations (COJO) Flatbush, celebrated at its
39th Annual Community Legislative Breakfast on Sunday, March 18, 2018,
at Kol Yaakov Hall, Brooklyn, New York; and

WHEREAS, Rachel Navifar has been called upon to contribute her time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of herself unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, This esteemed woman currently serves Pikus Senior
Enrichment Programs and as a devoted COJO volunteer; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Rachel Navifar has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Rachel Navifar has displayed
throughout her life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Rachel Navifar, that future generations may know and appreciate her
admirable character, her many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which she is held by her peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Rachel Navifar upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by COJO Flatbush on March 18, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Rachel Navifar.
