CONGRATULATING Liberty Pumps of Bergen, New York,
upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the 2016 Business of the Year Award by the Genesee
County Chamber of Commerce on March 4, 2017
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business
organizations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Liberty Pumps of Bergen, New York, upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the 2016 Business of the Year Award by the
Genesee County Chamber of Commerce to be celebrated on Saturday, March
4, 2017, at the Quality Inn and Suites in Batavia, New York; and
WHEREAS, Liberty Pumps is receiving this auspicious award for its
continued growth and commitment to Genesee County; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1965 by Fred Cook, Liberty Pumps' mission is
to develop long-term customer relationships by providing high quality,
innovative products and total value through exceptional service,
reliability and responsiveness; they want to provide members with the
opportunity for secure, satisfying careers through development,
involvement and teamwork; and
WHEREAS, In the past 31 years, Liberty Pumps has flourished into a
facility which covers over 247,000 square feet doubling the size of the
previous facility, including a manufacturing area, research and
engineering lab, a sales marketing wing, and a product training center;
and
WHEREAS, Under the luminous leadership of President and CEO, Charlie
Cook, Liberty Pumps is a leading United States manufacturer of pumping
products for ground water and wastewater removal in residential and
commercial applications; their products are relied on by hundreds of
professional contractors each day; and
WHEREAS, Businesses such as Liberty Pumps exert a strong, positive
influence on the communities they serve and are a crucial element in the
economy of New York State; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Liberty Pumps of Bergen, New York, upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the 2016 Business of the Year Award by the
Genesee County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Charlie Cook, President and CEO, Liberty Pumps.
