CONGRATULATING Coach Bob Klimowicz upon the
occasion of being named All-Bee Girls Hockey Coach
of the Year

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
outstanding athletes and coaches who have distinguished themselves
through their exceptional performance, attaining unprecedented success
and the highest level of personal achievement; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Coach Bob Klimowicz upon the occasion of being named
All-Bee Girls Hockey Coach of the Year; and

WHEREAS, For his entire adult life, Bob Klimowicz has been a hockey
coach; under his luminous leadership, the Frontier/Lake Shore/Orchard
Park Girls Hockey Team was the first Western New York Team to capture
the Section VI, New York State and Federation Championships; and

WHEREAS, Bob Klimowicz was a vital member of both the Erie Community
College and SUNY Brockport's men's hockey teams; he began his
distinguished coaching career as a graduate assistant, and then the
coach at Brockport High School; and

WHEREAS, In the late 1990s, Frontier High School established a boys
varsity hockey team with Bob Klimowicz serving as volunteer coach, a
position he would hold for 16 years; and

WHEREAS, In 2015, Bob Klimowicz assumed the title of Coach of the
girls hockey team; during his first season, the team won sectional and
federation titles; during the 2017-2018 season, the girls and Coach
Klimowicz vowed to win the New York State Championship as well; and

WHEREAS, The Falcons won the Section VI Final by defeating
Williamsville High School 3-1, Salmon River High School by a score of
5-1 to win the New York State Championship, and defeated
Clarence/Amherst/Sweet Home in a 2-1 victory to capture the Federation
Championship; and

WHEREAS, Coach Klimowicz truly loves and cares about each and every
one of his athletes, and has diligently worked to not only teach them
hockey skills, but also, the values of good sportsmanship; and

WHEREAS, Through his humor and passion, Bob Klimowicz has been an
inspiration to hockey players, their families, and the community for
many years, and accordingly merits recognition for his tremendous
passion and competitive spirit; and

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such outstanding athletic accomplishments are brought to
our attention, they should be recognized by all members of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Coach Bob Klimowicz upon the occasion of being named the
All-Bee Girls Hockey Coach of the Year; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Coach Bob Klimowicz.
