HONORING Steve and Lisa Grice upon the occasion of
their designation as recipients of the 2016
Geneseean of the Year Award by the Genesee County
Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Steve and Lisa Grice have given not only of their time and
energies, but also of their competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently, have been designated for special honor; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Steve and
Lisa Grice upon the occasion of their designation as recipients of the
2016 Geneseean of the Year Award by the Genesee County Chamber of
Commerce to be celebrated on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Quality Inn
and Suites in Batavia, New York; and

WHEREAS, Steve and Lisa Grice have been called upon to contribute
their time and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and
have always given of themselves unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, Active in their community, Steve and Lisa Grice have
dedicated their time to many organizations, including Batavia Youth
Football, Rotary Club and the Genesee Cancer Assistance, all of which
have multiple events per year; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of their community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Steve and Lisa Grice have stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by a group
for the benefit of others which Steve and Lisa Grice have displayed
throughout their lives; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Steve and Lisa Grice upon the occasion of their designation
as recipients of the 2016 Geneseean of the Year Award by the Genesee
County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Steve and Lisa Grice.
