HONORING Alasana Dumbuya upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Sullivan
County Democrat 2018 Men at Work Edition
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Alasana Dumbuya has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special recognition; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Alasana
Dumbuya upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by
the Sullivan County Democrat 2018 Men at Work Edition; and
WHEREAS, A resident of South Fallsburg, New York, Alasana Dumbuya
attended primary and secondary school, as well as nursing school in
Africa; currently, he is working on his bachelor's degree in Human
Services at SUNY Empire State College; and
WHEREAS, After immigrating to the United States, Alasana Dumbuya was
employed as a cashier and a Customer Service Manager for Walmart; he
then began working in an entry-level position for Crystal Run
Healthcare; he rose through the ranks, attaining the title of
Residential Coordinator; and
WHEREAS, After 13 years, Alasana Dumbuya became the Residential
Coordinator at New Hope Community; recently, he was promoted to the
title of Senior Residential Coordinator; in this capacity, he handles
resident care and works with patients; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and
community service, a period of constructive involvement, Alasana Dumbuya
has stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, When he is not working or helping someone, Alasana Dumbuya
loves to spend time with his family and enjoys travelling all over the
world; he just went on an incredible trip to Alaska; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, and their three
sons and three daughters, all of whom have shown him love and support
and rejoice in his many achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Alasana Dumbuya upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Sullivan County Democrat 2018 Men at Work Edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Alasana Dumbuya.
