HONORING Sean Welsh upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Sullivan
County Democrat 2018 Men at Work Edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Sean Welsh has given not only of his time and energies but
also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special recognition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Sean Welsh
upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition by the
Sullivan County Democrat 2018 Men at Work Edition; and

WHEREAS, A resident of Callicoon, New York, Sean Welsh currently
serves as the Energy and Consumer Educator/Operations Coordinator at
Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County, where he assists on
issues of energy efficiency within the home or business and consumer
education related topic areas; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his illustrious career with Cornell Cooperative
Extension Sullivan County, Sean Welsh has also served as 4-H Program
Leader, Human Ecology Interim Program Leader, Financial Educator and
Grant Coordinator; and

WHEREAS, Sean Welsh graduated from Jeff-Youngsville Central School
before attending SUNY Cobleskill, SUNY New Paltz and Marist College; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and
community service, a period of constructive involvement, Sean Welsh has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, Katie, his parents,
Pat and Jill, a brother, Matt, and his grandmother, Isabelle, who have
all shown him love and support and rejoice in his many achievements; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Sean Welsh upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Sullivan County Democrat 2018 Men at Work Edition;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sean Welsh.
