CONGRATULATING Michael DelPriore upon the occasion
of his induction into the Port Jervis School
District Alumni Hall of Fame on October 8, 2017

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those distinguished citizens who devote their time and
energies to the service of their community and profession, participating
in civic affairs and enhancing the character and quality of life for all
citizens; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Michael DelPriore upon the occasion of his induction into
the Port Jervis School District Alumni Hall of Fame, celebrated at the
8th Annual Port Jervis School District Alumni Hall of Fame Induction
Ceremony and Banquet on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at Erie Trackside Manor
in Port Jervis, New York; and

WHEREAS, Each year, the Port Jervis School District Alumni Hall of
Fame recognizes individuals who have achieved personal success and have
made a significant contribution to society, serving as role models to
inspire current and future generations of Port Jervis students; a member
of the Class of 1975, Michael DelPriore is truly deserving of this great
honor; and

WHEREAS, Michael DelPriore earned his Associate of Applied Science
degree in Architectural Technology from SUNY Orange; he then transferred
to Brooklyn's Pratt Institute where he received his Bachelor of
Architecture degree in 1980; and

WHEREAS, Michael DelPriore began his long and distinguished career
building scale models for one of Manhattan's top interior design firms;
in 1986, he established the Ryerson Studio, a company which diligently
works to bring their client's design and vision to full color
3-dimensional life using the latest laser technology complemented by
their fine hand craftsmanship; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the years, Michael DelPriore has built projects
for many Fortune 500 companies, top real estate developers, city
planners, architects, hospital and medical facilities, sporting venues,
and retail stores as well as colleges and universities; and

WHEREAS, Michael DelPriore's stellar work has been featured
internationally and in numerous publications such as the New York Times,
USA Today, Interior Design Magazine, the New York Post, and The New York
Daily News; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his work with his firm, Michael DelPriore
was a faculty member at his alma mater, the Pratt Institute, where he
founded the school's first architectural model making program; he also
taught interior design classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology;
and

WHEREAS, A history buff, Michael DelPriore is a member of the
Kingston Heritage Commission; in this role, he designs and constructs
models which have been used to help raise money for many state and
national historic buildings; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his professional and
community service, a period of constructive involvement, Michael
DelPriore has stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Michael DelPriore upon the occasion of his induction into
the Port Jervis School District Alumni Hall of Fame on October 8, 2017;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Michael DelPriore.
