CONGRATULATING Ben Moore III upon the occasion of
his retirement after 12 years of distinguished
service as Chief Executive Officer of River
Hospital, Alexandria Bay, New York

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the stature of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Ben Moore III upon the occasion of his retirement after 12
years of distinguished service as Chief Executive Officer of River
Hospital in Alexandria Bay, New York; and

WHEREAS, Ben Moore III is a respected public leader and
distinguished citizen who has dedicated his life to serving his
community; and

WHEREAS, Ben Moore III has served his region, state and country in
countless ways including as a line officer in the United States Navy for
four years, and Executive Director and CEO of State University of New
York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse; and

WHEREAS, Ben Moore III has made River Hospital a financially
sustainable institution and helped expand its services and facilities to
the region's residents by improving access to modern, quality health
care; and

WHEREAS, Recognizing the important connection shared by Fort Drum
and the North Country, Ben Moore III has worked diligently to strengthen
the bond between River Hospital and the military community, to improve
services to our troops, especially those struggling with Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder; and

WHEREAS, In addition to serving his community, Ben Moore III is a
devoted husband to his wife, Cynthia, and loving father to his two
children, Matthew and Elizabeth; and

WHEREAS, Ben Moore III has clearly had an enduring impact on his
community and accordingly merits recognition and applause for his
impressive dedication to others; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals who work to support their communities by
providing their skills and talents to helping others; now, therefore, be
it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Ben Moore III upon the occasion of his retirement after 12
years of distinguished service as Chief Executive Officer of River
Hospital, and to wish him continued success in all his future endeavors;
and be it further


RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Ben Moore III.
