Senate Resolution No. 4811

CONGRATULATING the Ellicottville Girls' Alpine Ski
Team upon the occasion of winning the New York State
Public High School Athletic Association Alpine Ski
Team Championship

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to recognize
those young people within our community who, by achieving outstanding
success in athletic competitions, have inspired and brought pride to
their school district and community; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate the Ellicottville Girls' Alpine Ski Team upon the occasion
of winning the New York State Public High School Athletic Association
Alpine Ski Team Championship; and

WHEREAS, Freshman twins, Hayly and Logan Fredrickson once again
helped lift the Eagles to the championship; the Fredrickson twins each
finished in the Top 10 in the Slalom and Giant Slalom competitions at
Bristol Mountain Ski Resort in Canandaigua, New York; and

WHEREAS, Ellicottville's best run came on the second of the two-day
competition; Logan Fredrickson placed second overall in the Giant Slalom
with a total of 2:03.14; Hayly Fredrickson took sixth overall at
2:05.58; eighth grader CeCe Carls added 39th in the Slalom at 2:04.10,
and 40th place in the Giant Slalom at 2:21.21; and

WHEREAS, With a solid team effort, the Ellicottville Girls' Alpine
Ski Team will have many great years to follow; through countless hours
of practice and steadfast dedication to the sport, its team members,
their families and the community, should be very proud; and

WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can only be
achieved through strenuous practice and team spirit, nurtured by
dedicated coaching and strategic planning; and

WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly
recognize those high school athlete-scholars who have achieved notable
success in this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Ellicottville Girls' Alpine Ski Team upon the occasion
of winning the New York State Public High School Athletic Association
Alpine Ski Team Championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Hayly Fredrickson, Logan Fredrickson, and CeCe Carls.
