HONORING KARTESIS Industries upon the occasion of
its designation as recipient of the Sustainability
Award by Buffalo Business First on May 15, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those businesses which substantially contribute to the
economic vitality of their communities and the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to
honor KARTESIS Industries upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Sustainability Award by Buffalo Business First to be
celebrated at its 2018 Manufacturing Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15,
2018, at Salvatore's Italian Gardens in Depew, New York; and

WHEREAS, KARTESIS Industries is a group specialized in the
manufacturing of complex parts in very large series, aimed at global
cutting edge sectors; with 450 employees and 274 machines dedicated to
production spread over eight sites and three continents, KARTESIS
Industries can provide its services wherever they are needed; and

WHEREAS, KARTESIS Industries began in the 1950s with family
businesses in the Arve Valley; the group, as it exists today, was
founded at the end of 2013; today, it is internationally recognized for
its expertise, and high level of quality and services; and

WHEREAS, The success of KARTESIS Industries is in direct correlation
to the efforts of its CEO Pierre Zavarise and his staff members, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the institution and the
community it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident it will continue to enjoy the
sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor KARTESES Industries upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Sustainability Award by Buffalo Business First on May
15, 2018; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Pierre Zavarise, CEO, KARTESIS Industries.
