HONORING Southtown Salt Caves & Spa upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of the
Innovation Award by the Town of Hamburg Chamber of
Commerce on April 19, 2018
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to take note of
and publicly recognize those businesses within the State of New York
which have positively impacted their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Southtown Salt Caves & Spa upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Innovation Award by the Town of Hamburg Chamber of
Commerce celebrated at its Annual Member Recognition Dinner on Thursday,
April 19, 2018, at Briarwood Country Club in Hamburg, New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded by Pam and Michael Toole, Southtown Salt Caves &
Spa was designed to help its customers reclaim their health; and
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Western New York, Pam and Michael Toole
are both Registered Nurses who understand the benefits of medicine as
well as an appreciation of complimentary health practices; and
WHEREAS, While celebrating their anniversary, Pam and Michael Toole
spent a relaxing day at a Salt Cave Spa, and it transformed their lives;
years ago, a doctor in Europe discovered that coal miners were living
short, sickly lives, while Himalayan salt miners were living long
healthy lives; when researching the reason behind the difference he
found that the salt aerosol created excellent respiratory health and
mineral supplements; and
WHEREAS, Pam and Michael Toole have recreated this salt mine or cave
in Orchard Park, New York, to act as an adjunct to their client's
current health regime; and
WHEREAS, In addition to the salt mine, customers can enjoy the
rejuvenating sauna, a variety of massages, Raindrop Technique Therapy,
Chakra balancing/cleansing and a wellness series which offers many
different events with a focus on health and wellness; and
WHEREAS, Today, Southtown Salt Caves & Spa is a family-owned
operation; along with Michael and Pam, Mark, Alex and Nick Toole help
run the business; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Southtown Salt Caves & Spa upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the Innovation Award by the Town of Hamburg Chamber of
Commerce on April 19, 2018; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Michael, Pam, Mark, Alex and Nick Toole, Owners,
Southtown Salt Caves & Spa.
