HONORING Matthew Hellerer upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Brian Dugan
Outstanding Teacher Award by the Town of Tonawanda
Youth Board on May 10, 2018
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend the
efforts of those individuals in the teaching profession who distinguish
themselves in their dedication and commitment to their students; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Matthew Hellerer upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Brian Dugan Outstanding Teacher Award by the Town of Tonawanda Youth
Board, to be celebrated at its 41st Annual Awards Dinner on Thursday,
May 10, 2018; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Buffalo, New York, Matthew Hellerer is
receiving this prestigious award for his unwavering dedication to
students as a teacher for St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career thus far, Matthew Hellerer has
brought an uncompromising standard of excellence to his work and a warm
sense of caring and concern to every young person he educates; and
WHEREAS, Matthew Hellerer has clearly had an enduring impact on the
youth of St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute as well as on the
community-at-large, and accordingly merits recognition and applause for
his impressive dedication to others; and
WHEREAS, Teachers such as Matthew Hellerer provide a tremendous
service to the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of
young people in their educational journeys and ensuring their success in
their future years; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Matthew Hellerer upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the Brian Dugan Outstanding Teacher Award by the Town of Tonawanda
Youth Board on May 10, 2018; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Matthew Hellerer.
