CONGRATULATING Jeremy Pantoni of Goshen High
School upon the occasion of his selection as a High
School Soccer All-American

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the State of New York who, by
achieving outstanding success in athletic competition, have inspired and
brought pride to their school and community; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Jeremy Pantoni of Goshen High School upon the occasion of
his selection as a High School Soccer All-American; and

WHEREAS, Jeremy Pantoni was named to this select group in December
of 2017; he celebrated this prestigious honor with his 65 fellow
All-Americans in Philadelphia in January of 2018; and

WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Jeremy Pantoni has
distinguished himself as a young man of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement,
purposefulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful
years; and

WHEREAS, Ever since he was a young boy, Jeremy Pantoni has played
soccer; he could often be found in his backyard working on his dribbling
and preparing for games with the Washingtonville Travel Soccer Program;
and

WHEREAS, In the third grade, Jeremy Pantoni joined the Galaxy travel
team; right away his coaches knew they had a great talent among them;
after several years, he began to play soccer for SoccerPlus Academy in
Newburgh, New York; and

WHEREAS, Jeremy Pantoni soon earned a spot on World Class' Academy
U14 Team where he focused on perfecting his skills, making him the
creative and unpredictable player he is today; and

WHEREAS, The summer before his senior year, Jeremy Pantoni trained
and honed his skills in the USSDA Program at both Westchester and World
Class; and

WHEREAS, Upon returning to practice with his Goshen High School
teammates, Jeremy Pantoni proved to be a faster and tougher player;
throughout the last season of his high school career, he posted 34 goals
and 11 assists, scoring in 14 out of 17 outings; and

WHEREAS, The athletic talent displayed by Jeremy Pantoni is due in
great part to the efforts of Head Coach Mike Kelly, a skilled and
inspirational tutor, respected for his ability to develop potential into
excellence; and

WHEREAS, Jeremy Pantoni's overall record is outstanding; he was
loyally and enthusiastically supported by his family, fans, friends and
the community at large; his loving family got up early in the morning to
take him to games across the entire Eastern Seaboard and made sure he
had rides, cleats and a home-cooked breakfast to start the day; and

WHEREAS, Athletically and academically, Jeremy Pantoni has proven
himself to be an unbeatable combination of talents, reflecting favorably
on his school and club; and

WHEREAS, Sports competition instills the values of teamwork, pride
and accomplishment, and Jeremy Pantoni has clearly made a contribution
to the spirit of excellence which is a tradition of his school and club;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Jeremy Pantoni of Goshen High School upon the occasion of
his selection as a High School Soccer All-American; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jeremy Pantoni.
