HONORING Deputy Zdenek Chumacero upon the occasion
of his designation as recipient of the Service Above
Self Award by the Victor-Farmington Rotary Club on
May 16, 2018
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished officers and citizens who would devote
themselves to public service, demonstrating great courage and diligence
in providing for the care and welfare of the citizens of their
communities and this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Within every community of the State of New York there are
certain individuals who, by virtue of their commitment and dedication,
command the respect and admiration of their community for their
exemplary contributions and service on behalf of others; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Deputy Zdenek Chumacero upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Service Above Self Award by the Victor-Farmington
Rotary Club to be celebrated at its Annual Police Appreciation Dinner,
in conjunction with the observance of National Police Memorial Day, on
Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Finn's Tap Room in Victor, New York; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Deputy Zdenek Chumacero will receive the Paul
Harris Fellow Award; and
WHEREAS, Rotary International is dedicated to the development of
fellowship and understanding among business and professional leaders,
the promotion of community-betterment endeavors and of high standards in
business and professional practices, and the advancement of
international understanding, goodwill and peace; and
WHEREAS, Each year the Victor-Farmington Rotary Club proudly
commends individuals who exemplify those principles; Deputy Zdenek
Chumacero truly merits such recognition; and
WHEREAS, A 13-year veteran of the Ontario County Sheriff's
Department, Deputy Zdenek Chumacero has served in numerous capacities
including Training Officer, Crime Scene Technician, Bi-lingual
Investigator, and most recently, School Resource Officer for Victor
Central Schools; and
WHEREAS, Through his tireless efforts and dedication, Deputy Zdenek
Chumacero has received high commendations from both supervisors and
fellow officers for his superior performance as a road patrol officer;
and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife, and their three
children, all of whom have shown him love and support and rejoice in his
many achievements; and
WHEREAS, Each and every day, Deputy Zdenek Chumacero arrives at
work, fully prepared to help his community and make a difference; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those
dedicated public servants who unselfishly devote their lives to the
preservation of order and the protection of others are worthy and due
full praise for their commitment and noble endeavors; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Deputy Zdenek Chumacero upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Service Above Self Award by the Victor-Farmington
Rotary Club on May 16, 2018; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Deputy Zdenek Chumacero.
