HONORING Kaely Kwitek upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the Distinguished
Orchard Park Alumna Award by the Orchard Park
Foundation on June 6, 2018
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Kaely Kwitek has given not only of her time and energies
but also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Kaely Kwitek upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
Distinguished Orchard Park Alumna Award by the Orchard Park Foundation
to be celebrated at its Annual Volunteer Awards Dinner on Wednesday,
June 6, 2018, at Mangia's Restaurant in Orchard Park, New York; and
WHEREAS, The awards dinner was established in 2008 to recognize
members of the community who foster and support the mission of the
Orchard Park Foundation for Academic Excellence (OPFAE), which is to
enhance the educational experience of students in the Orchard Park
School District by supporting extraordinary experiences and
opportunities in academics, athletics and the arts; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Orchard Park, Kaely Kwitek is truly deserving
of this prestigious award; and
WHEREAS, Volunteerism is an essential element of all societies; it
provides a way in which the human values of community, caring and
serving can be sustained and strengthened; and
WHEREAS, Volunteerism promotes family and community solidarity; most
importantly, people who volunteer their time in civic and charitable
endeavors inspire others to the call of volunteerism; and
WHEREAS, Service to community and country is the foundation of our
society, and the contributions and future efforts of those in service to
them are a vital part of, and valuable asset to, the fabric of our
communities; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kaely Kwitek upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the Distinguished Orchard Park Alumna Award by the Orchard Park
Foundation on June 6, 2018; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kaely Kwitek.
