HONORING Crystal Heath upon the occasion of her
designation as recipient of the William B. Joslin
Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay just tribute to those citizens who embody the true American spirit,
demonstrating personal courage and determination; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Crystal Heath upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the
William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, The Annual Joslin Awards Program of the New York State
Industries for the Disabled (NYSID) respectfully acknowledges
individuals in New York communities who strengthen the Preferred Source
Program through jobs well done; and

WHEREAS, This past year, nearly 7,000 total workers in 48 counties
realized the independence which comes from earning a paycheck; and

WHEREAS, A 2014 graduate of The Arc of Ulster-Greene's
School-to-Work Program, Crystal Heath has worked as an office aide for
the Arc's Ellenville Center for the last few years; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure, Crystal Heath has consistently
demonstrated a positive work ethic and accurately and efficiently
completes her daily tasks; through hard work and determination she has
overcome her learning disability and has gained a great amount of
confidence in herself and her abilities; and

WHEREAS, Crystal Heath expanded her responsibilities at the
Ellenville Center by working on the NYSID Preferred Source contract for
drug test kits; in this capacity, Crystal helps conduct quarterly
inventory, receives orders, pulls orders for completion, fills supply
purchase orders, fills in as a line supervisor, and displays great
concentration and attention to detail; and

WHEREAS, In recognition of her increased self-confidence, Crystal
Heath represented the Arc of Ulster-Green at this year's Preferred
Source Expo at New York GovBuy in May, meeting with potential NYSID
customers and demonstrating product knowledge; and

WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of her duties and
responsibilities, Crystal Heath's ongoing efforts and notable
achievements have significantly contributed to bettering the quality of
life in her community; and

WHEREAS, When she is not working, Crystal Heath enjoys spending time
with her loving and supportive family, especially her nieces and

nephews; recently, she obtained her New York State driver's permit and
hopes to have her own apartment one day; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals of such enduring courage and accomplishment are brought to
our attention, it is appropriate to publicly proclaim and commend those
individuals for the edification and emulation of others; now, therefore,
be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Crystal Heath upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of
the William B. Joslin Outstanding Performance Award by New York State
Industries for the Disabled, Inc., and to wish her continued success in
all her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Crystal Heath.
