HONORING Manny and Rosemary Dizon upon the
occasion of their designation for special
recognition by Mount Saint Mary College on June 4,
2018

WHEREAS, The unity of our State and Nation is built upon the
compassion of individuals such as Manny and Rosemary Dizon who uphold
the values of community life and who, through their great actions,
epitomize the best of humanity; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Manny and Rosemary Dizon upon the occasion of their designation for
special recognition by Mount Saint Mary College at its 7th Annual
Invitational Tennis Tournament on Monday, June 4, 2018, at the Powelton
Club, Newburgh, New York; and

WHEREAS, Manny and Rosemary Dizon have enjoyed living in Orange
County for the last 18 years and currently reside in Balmville, New
York; and

WHEREAS, A graduate of Franklin K. Lane High School in Queens,
Rosemary Dizon went on to pursue a Business degree at the Borough of
Manhattan Community College (CUNY) in New York City; and

WHEREAS, Rosemary Dizon has spent her illustrious career as a
registered real estate sales agent at various brokerage firms including
Dean Witter Reynolds and Douglas Elliman; and

WHEREAS, A true asset to her community, Rosemary Dizon has been
involved in many youth organizations, including co-founding and heading
local Girl Scout Troop 138 of Bloomingburg, and acting as PTO President
of the BOCES Satellite program at Pine Bush Elementary School; and

WHEREAS, An avid tennis player and golfer, Rosemary Dizon is a
member of the Powelton Club in Balmville, the Orange Hollow Racquet Club
in Goshen, and Sportsplex of New Windsor; she has also served on various
golf and tennis committees over the years, including Abilities First
Hudson Valley; and

WHEREAS, Raised in Staten Island, Manny Dizon graduated from
Tottenville High School before advancing his studies at the College of
Staten Island (CUNY) in Business Finance; and

WHEREAS, Manny Dizon worked at various brokerage firms including
Dean Witter Reynolds and Bank of America before pursuing a career in
Canadian banking at CIBC World Markets in 1999; and

WHEREAS, This esteemed man is currently Director of Fixed Income
Sales and Trading at National Bank of Canada Financial located in New
York City; and

WHEREAS, With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to his
community, Manny Dizon is a member of the President's Advisory Council
of Mount Saint Mary College, co-chair of the Abilities First Golf
Classic, a member of the Elks Club No. 247 in Newburgh, second-degree
member of the Knights of Columbus Pine Bush Council 5329, and currently
serves the Powelton Club in Balmville as Vice President and Membership
Chair; and

WHEREAS, Manny and Rosemary Dizon are celebrating their 25th Wedding
Anniversary in June of 2018, and they are the proud parents of three
children, Darren, Gabriella and Mila; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by
individuals for the benefit of others which Manny and Rosemary Dizon
have displayed throughout their lives; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Manny and Rosemary Dizon, that future generations may know and
appreciate their admirable character, their many benevolent deeds, and
the respect and esteem in which they are held by their peers; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Manny and Rosemary Dizon upon the occasion of their designation
for special recognition by Mount Saint Mary College on June 4, 2018; and
be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Manny and Rosemary Dizon.
