COMMENDING Meishay Rashon Gattis upon the occasion
of being named a 2018 Hall of Fame Honoree by Making
the Impossible Possible, Inc. on May 27, 2018
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Meishay Rashon Gattis upon the occasion of being named a 2018
Hall of Fame Honoree by Making the Impossible Possible, Inc., to be
celebrated at its 7th Annual Power of Partnerships, Scholarship and Hall
of Fame Gala on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at the BRIC Arts Media, Brooklyn,
New York; and
WHEREAS, Founded in 2001, Making the Impossible Possible, Inc.
(MIPO) is a non-profit membership organization, promoting the quality of
life of Haitian youth in the United States and abroad through education,
music, character building, medical care, apprenticeship training, family
support and scholarships; and
WHEREAS, As Executive Director at The YMCA of Greater New York,
Flatbush, Meishay Rashon Gattis is a dedicated youth development
professional and public administrator with more than 20 years of
experience; in this capacity, he has established productive relations
with parents, positive outcomes with regulating agencies and both,
quantitative and qualitative results from his team members; and
WHEREAS, In his many years in the field, Meishay Rashon Gattis has
proven to be a dedicated, innovative and motivational leader with a deep
understanding of youth development principles and a passion for helping
young people reach their potential; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, his relational skills and ability to bring
harmony to the members in their difficult experiences has made his
branch an integral part of their lives and a foundational block for
their future; and
WHEREAS, Meishay Rashon Gattis truly embodies the core values of
integrity, innovation, wellness and growth; more than a director, he is
a leader whose opinion is highly sought after, and whose judgment is
respected and trusted; and
WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Meishay Rashon Gattis, that future generations may know and appreciate
his admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity
to express its highest admiration for Meishay Rashon Gattis and to wish
him continued success in all of his future endeavors; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Meishay Rashon Gattis upon the occasion of being named a 2018
Hall of Fame Honoree by Making the Impossible Possible, Inc. on May 27,
2018; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Meishay Rashon Gattis.
