COMMEMORATING the 40th Anniversary of the Orange
County Youth Bureau
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations of the State of New York whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Orange County Youth Bureau; and
WHEREAS, The Orange County Youth Bureau is a member of the
Association of New York State Youth Bureaus and the Hudson Valley Youth
Bureau Association; and
WHEREAS, This vital organization advocates for the adoption of
strong legislation, regulations, policies and services which will
promote healthy youth, families and communities in Orange County; and
WHEREAS, Remaining true to its mission, the Orange County Youth
Bureau promotes positive youth development through county-wide
integrated planning, funding, monitoring, coordinating and developing
youth and family services programs for Orange County youth; and
WHEREAS, The Children and Family Services Plan, required by the New
York State Office of Children and Family Services Office of Youth
Development, guides Youth Bureau resource allocations and program
coordination and development priorities; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, quantitative data from the New York State
Council on Children and Families Touchstones Kids Count Data Book and
qualitative data collected by convening community planning groups,
identify problems and strengths along with coordinated strategies to
address them; and
WHEREAS, The Orange County Youth Bureau also promotes private and
public partnerships, bringing together towns, villages, cities, social
and educational agencies and private citizens including youth; and
WHEREAS, Over its distinguished 40-year history, the Orange County
Youth Bureau has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and
communities which it serves; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Orange County Youth Bureau is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its dedicated staff, whose involvement is,
and always has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an
unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in
all endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves;
and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents an opportunity for this
Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to Orange County Youth
Bureau; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Orange County Youth Bureau; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Orange County Youth Bureau.
