MEMORIALIZING Governor Andrew M. Cuomo to proclaim
February 1-7, 2017, as Patient Recognition Week in
the State of New York

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to commend those
illustrious organizations within the State of New York, whose focus and
intent have made a substantial impact on the quality of life for the
Armed Forces; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is proud to proclaim
February 1-7, 2017, as Patient Recognition Week in the State of New
York, in conjunction with the observation of National Patient
Recognition Week; and

WHEREAS, Patient Recognition Day presents an opportunity for the
United States Army leaders and medical providers to honor the patients
trusted to their care; the soldiers, family members, retirees and other
eligible military health system beneficiaries; and

WHEREAS, The Army and Army Medicine remains committed to the highest
standards in patient-centered health care; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
proclaim February 1-7, 2017, as Patient Recognition Week in the State of
New York; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to The Honorable Andrew M. Cuomo, Governor of the State of
New York.
