HONORING Jaclyn Musa upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition by the Orange
County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a
2018 Senior Scholar-Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its
young citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and
accomplishments exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great
State and Nation; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Jaclyn Musa
upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the
Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2018 Senior
Scholar-Athlete; this momentous occasion was celebrated with a Breakfast
on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Kuhl's Highland House, Middletown, New
York; and

WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Jaclyn Musa has
distinguished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent,
and maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement,
purposefulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful
years; and

WHEREAS, A student at Tri-Valley Central School District, Jaclyn
Musa has a 98.13 GPA and is Salutatorian of her class; she is a member
of the National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America,
and has served as Class President and Treasurer; and

WHEREAS, Jaclyn Musa is also a vital member of the soccer,
basketball and track and field teams; and

WHEREAS, Dedicated to her community, Jaclyn Musa gives tirelessly of
her time and energies volunteering for the local library's children's
program, the American Red Cross blood drive, and as Committee Chair for
Wounded Warrior; and

WHEREAS, Jaclyn Musa plans to major in human nutrition, foods and
exercise at Virginia Polytechnic Institute; and

WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Jaclyn Musa
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and

WHEREAS, Jaclyn Musa may stand with pride in her achievements,
experiencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her
accomplishments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she
continues her education; and

WHEREAS, Jaclyn Musa represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jaclyn Musa upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2018 Senior Scholar-Athlete, and to wish her well in her future
endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jaclyn Musa.
