Senate Resolution No. 570

MOURNING the death of Joseph F. LoScalzo, business
owner, distinguished citizen and devoted member of
his community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Joseph F. LoScalzo of Central Valley, New York, died on
January 17, 2017, at the age of 70; and

WHEREAS, Joseph F. LoScalzo, was born to the late Frank and Anna
LoScalzo of New York, New York, on July 31, 1946; and

WHEREAS, Joseph F. LoScalzo distinguished himself in his profession
and by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the
welfare of his community and commitment to excellence, and his spirit of
humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise, including
charitable and civic endeavors; and

WHEREAS, A well-loved man in his community for the past 43 years,
Joseph F. LoScalzo was the owner and operator of Mr. Cone in Monroe, New
York, where he not only provided smiles through ice cream, but selfless
charity in the form of fundraisers, youth activities or just giving help
to people in need; and

WHEREAS, Joseph F. LoScalzo is survived by his loving wife, Susan,
his three daughters, Anna, Erica and Diana, and his two grandchildren,
Suzanna and Ross; and

WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Joseph F. LoScalzo leaves behind a legacy which will long
endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all
he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Joseph F. LoScalzo, business owner, distinguished
citizen and devoted member of his community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Joseph F. LoScalzo.
