HONORING Gerald Mazurkiewicz upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the Service Award by
Leadership Buffalo

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Gerald Mazurkiewicz upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Service Award by Leadership Buffalo, to be celebrated at its Values
Awards Luncheon; and

WHEREAS, The Value Awards Luncheon is Leadership Buffalo's annual
signature even honoring leaders in the community who embody one of this
vital organization's four core values of Service, Inclusion, Diversity
and Openness to Change; Gerald Mazurkiewicz is one such individual; and

WHEREAS, Gerald "Jerry" Mazurkiewicz of Dopkins & Company has been
called upon to contribute his time and talents to countless civic and
charitable endeavors and has always given of himself unstintingly; and

WHEREAS, The success of Dopkins & Company is in direct correlation
to the efforts of Gerald Mazurkiewicz, whose involvement is, and always
has been, characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all
endeavors on behalf of the organization and the community it serves; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Gerald Mazurkiewicz has stood
constant in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Gerald Mazurkiewicz has
displayed throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Gerald Mazurkiewicz, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Gerald Mazurkiewicz upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Service Award by Leadership Buffalo; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Gerald Mazurkiewicz.
