COMMENDING Mark G. Gebo, Esq. upon the occasion of
his retirement after 30 years of dedicated service
as a municipal attorney in Jefferson County
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those singular individuals who devote their purposeful
lives and careers to preserving the rights and protecting the welfare of
the citizens of their community and the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, The quality and character of life in many of Jefferson
County's communities have been ably served and uniquely enriched through
the selfless dedication and benevolent concern of Mark G. Gebo, Esq.;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Mark G. Gebo, Esq. upon the occasion of his retirement after 30
years of dedicated service as a municipal attorney in Jefferson County;
and
WHEREAS, Throughout a life and career of purposeful endeavor, Mark
G. Gebo has remained true to his commitment, serving more than 30
Jefferson County communities, as well as the law; his contributions and
accomplishments have brought great benefit and positive influence to
bear upon the course of jurisprudence and the quality of life for
others; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Carthage Central High School, SUNY Albany,
and Cornell Law School, Mark G. Gebo returned to Jefferson County in
1988 to provided municipal legal services to Fort Drum, and later to
numerous other municipalities including the Town of Wilna, and the
Villages of Carthage and Black River; and
WHEREAS, Mark G. Gebo, in every capacity in which he served, will
forever be remembered as a determined, innovative and genuinely
concerned expert in his field; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Mark G. Gebo, Esq. upon the occasion of his retirement after 30
years of dedicated service as a municipal attorney in Jefferson County,
and to wish him well in all his future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mark G. Gebo, Esq.
