HONORING James Serwinowski upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the 2016 Safety
Award by the Mount Calvary Cemetery Group as well as
45 years of service

WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of his duties and
responsibilities, James Serwinowski's ongoing efforts and notable
achievements have significantly contributed to bettering the quality of
life in his community; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor James
Serwinowski upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the
2016 Safety Award by the Mount Calvary Cemetery Group; and

WHEREAS, Founded in 1859, Mount Calvary Cemetery Group is a
corporation comprised of five cemetery properties, including Mount
Calvary Cemetery, United German and French Roman Catholic Church,
Buffalo Cemetery, Ridge Lawn Cemetery and Pine Lawn Gardens in
Cheektowaga; and

WHEREAS, Mount Calvary Cemetery Group recently presented its 2016
Employee Awards for Safety to James Sewinowski for his outstanding
performance and dedicated service to the Buffalo region; and

WHEREAS, For 45 years, James Serwinowski has worked as a lead
backhoe operator for the Mount Calvary Cemetery Group; he is always
cognizant of his surroundings, whether it is looking after fellow
employees or maneuvering among tight spaces liked with delicate and
expensive monuments; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the life of their community and have shown a long and sustained
commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their profession,
certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor James Serwinowski upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the 2016 Safety Award by the Mount Calvary Cemetery Group
as well as 45 years of service; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to James Serwinowski.
