HONORING Albert Hall upon the occasion of his
induction into the Warwick Valley Boys Basketball
Hall of Fame by the Warwick Valley Central School
District on January 27, 2017
WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be
achieved only through strenuous practice, team play and team spirit,
nurtured by dedicated coaching and strategic planning; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those
individuals whose exceptional athletic prowess leaves an enduring legacy
in their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Albert Hall upon the occasion of his induction into the Warwick Valley
Boys Basketball Hall of Fame by the Warwick Valley Central School
District on Friday, January 27, 2017; and
WHEREAS, The outstanding efforts, commitment, and past
accomplishments of Albert Hall on the hardwood have helped shape the
history of the Warwick Valley Wildcats Basketball Team and serve as an
inspiration to the current generation of players; and
WHEREAS, Albert Hall was a starter on the Varsity Basketball Team
from 2010-2012; during his senior year, he was the leading scorer with
an average of 19.1 points per game along with leading the team in
rebounding and charges taken; under the tutelage of Head Coach Tom
Folino, he ended his career at Warwick as the 20th All-Time Leading
Scorer with 500 points; and
WHEREAS, As captain of the 2012-2013 team, Albert Hall was one of
the key members who helped lead the Wildcats to the 2011 OCIAA Division
II Championship and Section IX play-offs; he also led the 2012 team to
first place in the OCIAA Division II and another berth in the Section IX
tournament; and
WHEREAS, During the 2011-2012 season, Albert Hall was named the Most
Valuable Player of his team and was recipient of the Mr. Basketball and
Outstanding Offense Player Awards; he was also selected to both the
BCANY Mid-Hudson All Star Team and the 2nd team of the Varsity 845 Boy's
All-Star Team, and was recognized as a BCANY Scholar Athlete; and
WHEREAS, After graduating from Warwick High School, Albert Hall went
on to Penn State University where he played on the intercollegiate
football team for four years, while getting his degree in Supply Chain
and Information Systems; and
WHEREAS, Athletes like Albert Hall provide a tremendous service to
the future of our State and Nation, inspiring generations of
student-athletes in their athletic journeys and ensuring their success
in their future years; and
WHEREAS, Albert Hall has clearly had an enduring impact on the youth
of the Warwick Valley Central School District, as well as on the
community-at-large, and accordingly merits recognition and applause for
his impressive dedication to others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Albert Hall upon the occasion of his induction into the Warwick
Valley Boys Basketball Hall of Fame by the Warwick Valley Central School
District; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Albert Hall.
