HONORING Wallace Graham upon the occasion of being
named the 2017 ChangeMaker by the Capital Region
Chamber

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made
significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and

WHEREAS, Wallace Graham has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently
has been designated for special recognition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Wallace
Graham upon the occasion of being named the 2017 ChangeMaker by the
Capital Region Chamber, to be celebrated at its Annual Dinner on
Thursday, March 30, 2017, at the Albany Capital Center, Albany, New
York; and

WHEREAS, The Capital Region Chamber helps build a stronger community
by connecting its members to people, businesses and issues important to
New York's Capital Region; it provides leadership and resources to
assist 2,600 businesses and organizations throughout Albany,
Schenectady, Rensselaer and Saratoga counties and beyond; and

WHEREAS, Wallace Graham is being honored for his vision, leadership,
and community investment which has helped transform the Capital Region;
and

WHEREAS, This esteemed business leader is retired president/CEO and
current Chairman of Schenectady International (SI) Group; and

WHEREAS, Within every community, there are inevitably some
individuals who, by virtue of their energy, vision, and dedication,
command the greatest respect among their friends and colleagues, and
within the community at large; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Wallace Graham has displayed
throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Wallace Graham, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Wallace Graham upon the occasion of being named the 2017
ChangeMaker by the Capital Region Chamber; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Wallace Graham.
