COMMENDING Lockhouse Distillery upon the occasion
of winning a Silver Medal for its New York Style
Fine Gin and Ibisco Bitter and a Bronze Medal for
its Revolution Coffee Liquor and Limited Release
Barreled Gin by the American Craft Spirits
Association

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend the achievements of businesses which contribute substantially to
the economic health and vitality of the communities of the great State
of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Lockhouse Distillery upon the occasion of winning a Silver Medal
for its New York Style Fine Gin and Ibisco Bitter and a Bronze Medal for
its Revolution Coffee Liquor and Limited Release Barreled Gin by the
American Craft Spirits Association; and

WHEREAS, In January of 2012, the Lockhouse Distillery was founded in
North Buffalo, New York, by four Ginthusiasts, Niko Georgiadis, Chad
Vosseller, Jon Mirro, and Thomas Jablonski; and

WHEREAS, Originally named Eight Buffalo Spirits, the Distillery was
the first of its kind to be opened in Buffalo since Prohibition; and

WHEREAS, Due to the high demand for their services and products, the
Lockhouse Distillery was relocated to Columbia Street in the historic
Cobblestone district in late 2013; and

WHEREAS, The move was a giant shift from their previous 1,200 square
foot location to almost 3,500 square feet, and included the addition of
a full service bar which exclusively served New York State produced
beer, wine, cider and spirits; and

WHEREAS, After much hard work and tireless efforts by the owners,
the Lockhouse Distillery were the proud recipients of a Silver Medal for
its New York Style Fine Gin and Ibisco Bitter and a Bronze Medal for its
Revolution Coffee Liquor and Limited Release Barreled Gin; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges Lockhouse Distillery's success, recognizes its
contributions to the local and State economies, and extends its highest
commendation to the business and its employees, fully confident that, in
its future, it will enjoy the same sparkling success which has so
characterized its past; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Lockhouse Distillery upon the occasion of winning a Silver Medal
for its New York Style Fine Gin and Ibisco Bitter and a Bronze Medal for
its Revolution Coffee Liquor and Limited Release Barreled Gin by the
American Craft Spirits Association; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Niko Georgiadis, Chad Vosseller, Jon Mirro and Thomas
Jablonski, Owners, Lockhouse Distillery.
