HONORING Kate Fruscione upon the occasion of being
named a 2016 Resourceful Woman by the YWCA of the
Greater Capital Region, Inc. on October 11, 2016

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those
individuals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the community
and its citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Kate Fruscione upon the occasion of being named a 2016 Resourceful Woman
by the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region, Inc. to be celebrated at its
17th Annual Resourceful Women's Luncheon Awards on Tuesday, October 11,
2016, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Troy, New York; and

WHEREAS, Established in 1855, the YWCA was created with the
intention of being a safe place for women to improve their lives; since
then, it has assisted countless women in reaching their goals and
maintaining self-sufficiency; and

WHEREAS, Today, the YWCA has 25 million members in 122 countries
working every day to fulfill the organization's mission of eliminating
racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and
dignity for all; and

WHEREAS, Since 2000, the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region has held
its Resourceful Women's Luncheon Awards to honor those everyday women
whose community and professional pursuits advance the empowerment of
women, as well as individuals who represent the spirit of determination
that defines the women of the YWCA; and

WHEREAS, Kate Fruscione, the Event Coordinator at the Albany
Business Review, is being recognized for her many accomplishments in
being a woman on the front line, as well as for her kindness, support,
and generosity; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her distinguished career, Kate Fruscione has
epitomized the meaning of being a resourceful and accomplished woman in
her professional life as well as her personal life; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention, they
should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Kate Fruscione upon the occasion of being named a 2016 Resourceful
Woman by the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region, Inc.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kate Fruscione.
