HONORING Maryann Saccomando Freedman upon the
occasion of her designation as recipient of the 2017
Professionalism Award by the New York State Bar
Association

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
esteemed individuals within our midst whose professional lives, personal
endeavors and dedicated community service are an example and inspiration
to their colleagues, friends, and family; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Maryann Saccomando Freedman upon the occasion of her designation as
recipient of the 2017 Professionalism Award by the New York State Bar
Association; and

WHEREAS, Attorney Maryann Saccomando Freedman is receiving this
auspicious award for her dedicated service to her clients and a
commitment to promoting respect for the legal system in pursuit of
justice and the public good, characterized by exemplary ethical conduct,
competence, good judgment, integrity and civility; and

WHEREAS, A graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo,
Maryann Saccomando Freedman is currently of Counsel at Cohen & Lombardo
P.C. in Buffalo; and

WHEREAS, Our local governments, our State and our Nation have been
strengthened by generations of Americans who felt a sense of
responsibility to their community, to one another and to their families;
and

WHEREAS, A singular asset to all of the citizens she has served in
the community of the State of New York, Maryann Saccomando Freedman's
life and career are a portrait of preeminence in public service, and
present a role model for all who aspire to a career in public service;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Maryann Saccomando Freedman upon the occasion of her designation
as recipient of the 2017 Professionalism Award by the New York State Bar
Association; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Maryann Saccomando Freedman.
