HONORING Dennis Bartholomew upon the occasion of
his designation as recipient of the Adult Youth
Worker Award by the Genesee County & Batavia Youth
Boards

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dennis Bartholomew upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Adult Youth Worker Award by the Genesee County & Batavia Youth
Boards, to be celebrated at its Youth Recognition Banquet on Thursday,
March 30, 2017, at Terry Hills Restaurant & Banquet Facility, Batavia,
New York; and

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, As a knowledgeable and highly skilled youth worker, Dennis
Bartholomew provides security and a sense of reliability to the children
he works with through the Department of Social Services; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Bartholomew's hard work and professional quiet
manner of counseling have left a profound impact on his students; he has
given tirelessly of his time, skill and enthusiasm to improving the
quality of life of the children with whom he works; and

WHEREAS, Readily available when called upon, Dennis Bartholomew
truly goes above and beyond to empower his students to achieve their
maximum potential while becoming socially responsible citizens; he uses
nature as a therapeutic outlet, often taking his students hiking,
swimming or adventuring somewhere they otherwise may not experience; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career, Dennis Bartholomew has
continuously shown a clear understanding of the breadth of his role in
shaping the futures of the children entrusted to his care; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Dennis Bartholomew has
displayed throughout his life; and

WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the intent
of this Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records this tribute to
Dennis Bartholomew, that future generations may know and appreciate his
admirable character, his many benevolent deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dennis Bartholomew upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Adult Youth Worker Award by the Genesee County &
Batavia Youth Boards; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dennis Bartholomew.
