COMMENDING Patrick Kaelin upon the occasion of
being named the 2017 EMS Provider of the Year by the
Cutchogue Fire Department on April 22, 2018

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
give outstanding service to the people of the Empire State and whose
extraordinary achievements save the lives of their fellow citizens
should be recognized because their efforts so profoundly strengthen our
shared commitment to family and community life; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Patrick
Kaelin upon the occasion of being named the 2017 EMS Provider of the
Year by the Cutchogue Fire Department to be celebrated at its Annual
Installation of Chiefs and Uniform Inspection Dinner on Sunday, April
22, 2018, at Giorgio's Baiting Hollow in Baiting Hollow, New York; and

WHEREAS, A great community is only as great as those persons and
organizations that provide exemplary service, whether through
participation in voluntary programs, through unique personal achievement
in their profession or other endeavors, or simply through a lifetime of
good citizenry; and

WHEREAS, Patrick Kaelin earned his initial EMS certification in
2002; through the years, he has continued to advance his skills, and has
become a Certified BLS Instructor; currently, he holds the title of
Captain of the Cutchogue Fire Department's Rescue Squad; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body cannot express sufficient gratitude
to individuals such as Patrick Kaelin who accept that the preservation
of life is a sacred responsibility, and who make that responsibility
their own by giving of their time and talents to make their community a
better place in which to live and work; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Patrick Kaelin upon the occasion of being named the 2017 EMS
Provider of the Year by the Cutchogue Fire Department; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Patrick Kaelin.
