HONORING Sharon Judd upon the occasion of her
retirement after more than 30 years of distinguished
service to Herkimer Central School District

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
the significant milestones in the distinguished careers of esteemed
residents of this noble Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Sharon Judd upon the occasion of her retirement after more than 30 years
of distinguished service to Herkimer Central School District, to be
celebrated on July 10, 2018, at Herkimer Junior Senior High School,
Herkimer, New York; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her illustrious career as Confidential Secretary
to the Superintendent, Sharon Judd has had the responsibility of
supporting eight Superintendents, keeping the Herkimer Central School
District on a consistent path; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Judd has been instrumental in constructing 30
successful Herkimer budgets, as well as a multitude of capital projects;
she has also been a consistent team player while managing the District
and the Board of Education through both good and difficult times; and

WHEREAS, With a deep institutional knowledge, Sharon Judd has worked
tirelessly on behalf of the schools and students of Herkimer Central
School District; and

WHEREAS, For more than three decades, Sharon Judd rendered faithful,
conscientious and valuable service to Herkimer Central School District,
earning the admiration, esteem and affection of her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, In her capacity as Confidential Secretary to the
Superintendent, Sharon Judd served with loyalty, honor and distinction,
and was governed by a keen sense of duty and always showed a unique
grasp of human problems in her official acts; and

WHEREAS, The Herkimer Central School District community is indeed
fortunate and blessed to have had such a dedicated and respected leader;
her wisdom and contributions reached into every classroom, truly making
a difference in the lives of those lucky enough to have worked with her;
and

WHEREAS, Sharon Judd has continually demonstrated an impressive
dedication, an unparalleled devotion and an unremitting enthusiasm for
the quality of the educational programs and opportunities offered at the
Herkimer Central School District for the benefit of its faculty and
students, as well as for the entire community; and

WHEREAS, In completing her service as Confidential Secretary to the
Superintendent, Sharon Judd leaves behind more than mere bricks and
mortar; she leaves behind a legacy to the students of the Herkimer

Central School District and to the residents of the Herkimer community;
now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Sharon Judd upon the occasion of her retirement after more
than 30 years of distinguished service to Herkimer Central School
District; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sharon Judd.
