HONORING Finger Lakes Technologies Group upon the
occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2016
Business of the Year Award by the Seneca County
Chamber of Commerce on January 27, 2017
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Finger Lakes Technologies Group upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the 2016 Business of the Year Award by the Seneca County
Chamber of Commerce, to be celebrated at its Annual Dinner and Awards
Ceremony on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Ventosa Vineyards, Geneva, New
York; and
WHEREAS, Established in 1995, Finger Lakes Technologies Group (FLTG)
is a five generation family owned telecommunications company with
locations in Victor, Binghamton, Buffalo, Phelps and Romulus, New York;
and
WHEREAS, A true asset to its community, Finger Lakes Technologies
Group is partnering with the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester (BCCR)
to launch its 'Look Up for Breast Cancer' campaign; FLTG will be
changing their fiber tags to bright pink with the Breast Cancer logo in
the Monroe County Area and donating money to BCCR for each tag that is
replaced; and
WHEREAS, In addition, under the able leadership of its President and
CEO Paul H. Griswold, FLTG gives tirelessly of its time and energies to
such organizations as United Way, United Way Day of Caring, Ontario ARC,
YMCA, and Lifetime Assistance; and
WHEREAS, Finger Lakes Technologies Group has received numerous
awards including the 2016 Democrat & Chronicle Top Places to Work, and
the 2016 New York State Best Companies to Work For; and
WHEREAS, Over its distinguished history, Finger Lakes Technologies
Group has demonstrated continuous service to the residents and
communities which it serves; and
WHEREAS, The success of Finger Lakes Technologies Group is in direct
correlation to the efforts of its hardworking and dedicated staff, whose
involvement is, and always has been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of
excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the business and the community
it serves; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business, its contributions to the local
and state economies, and its vibrant role in improving the quality of
life in its community, fully confident that it will continue to enjoy
the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Finger Lakes Technologies Group upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the 2016 Business of the Year Award by the
Seneca County Chamber of Commerce on January 27, 2017; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Paul H. Griswold, President and CEO, Finger Lakes
Technologies Group.
